William Hassoldt Jr. Obituary
William F. Hassoldt, Jr., 94, of Penn Yan, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Homestead Rehab Center in Penn Yan following a brief illness.

William was born September 16, 1923 on Staten Island, NY. He was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology in mechanical engineering. He was employed in that profession with the RCA Corporation in Lancaster, Pa., and retired from Eastman Kodak in Rochester.

He was married 61 years to Lois A. (Church) Hassoldt; she predeceased him in October, 2011. He was a loving and devoted father to their three children: William, III (Patricia) of Addison, Robert of Kendrick, Id., and Anne (Robert Housholder) of Willoughby Hills, Oh.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Michele (Scott) Hand of Chili, NY, Chrisie Balch of Woodstock, Ga., Jennifer Hassoldt of Corning, NY, and Michael (Erin) Fenoff of Cleveland, Oh., and one niece and three great-grandchildren.

William served honorably in WW II in an Army battalion engineering capacity. He was a 65 year member of Free and Accepted Masons and the Order of The Eastern Star. He served many years as a devoted member of the Boy Scouts of America, serving in several capacities and being rewarded with the Silver Beaver Award for his dedication. He was a long time member of the Bluff Point Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings George and Ann Marie (Bob) Dalrymple, son Louis Hassoldt, and grandson Louis Terry Fenoff.

At Bill's request, there will be no funeral services. Committal will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorials may be made to the Bluff Point Methodist Church, Bluff Point, NY or the Masonic Brotherhood Fund, F.& A. Masons.
