Floyd A. Campbell Obituary
Floyd A. Campbell, age 79, of Painted Post, NY passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at home. Floyd was born September 30, 1934 in Troy, PA to John Newton and Grace Mary (Wood) Campbell.

He married Ava Dignen on July 27, 1985 in Watkins Glen, NY.

Floyd retired from Corning Glass Works as a Millwright in 1994. He enjoyed singing, was a member of the Barber Shoppers and he also found enjoyment watching baseball and auto races.

Floyd loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing and he and his wife Ava loved to square dance together. Floyd took great pride in helping others, especially through his church, Grace Fellowship, in Corning.

He was very friendly and had the ability to make everyone he came into contact with feel special.

Floyd is survived by his wife: Ava(Dignen) Campbell ; four daughters: Bona Mae (Le Roy) Speary of Riverside, NY, Antoinette (Les)Jayne of Elizabethtown, PA, Lillian (Edward) Becker of Sabinsville, PA, and Margaret Abrams (friend Harry Pierce) of Lindley, NY; one son: Jeffery (Nellie) Perkins of Lowman, NY; along with numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his son, Lynn Campbell; grandchild, Lee Grivas; brothers: Samuel, Earl, Warren and John Campbell; and sisters: Dorothy Turner, Shirley Evans, and Thalia Morgan

The family will receive friends at Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY 14830 on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 1:30PM-2:00PM with a memorial service immediately following with Rev. Gary Brown officiating.
Burial will be held at a later date in Addison Hill Cemetery.
