Marjorie Card Obituary

Marjorie May Card, age 94, of Bath passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Fred and Harriett Taylor Health Center. Marjorie was born on August 28, 1922 in Monterey, the daughter of Leo S. and Marie Sarah (Wilson) Oakden. She married Ephrian Card whom predeceased her in 1972.

She retired from Bath VA Medical Center, enjoyed spending time at her home with her loving family and sewing.

She is survived by her daughter: Cindy Anderson of Dansville, son and daughter-in-law : Victor and Rose Marie Card of Pulteney; grandchildren: Kimberly (Timothy) Wray of Canandaigua, Shawn (Kathy) Card of Newark, Shane (Lisa) Card of Hammondsport and Michelle (Brian) Howell of Dundee, sister: Evelyn Shelly of Beaver Dams, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Marjorie was predeceased by her brothers, Bill and Gerald Oakden.

It was Marjorie's wish that there be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Addison Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are with Carpenter-Flint Funeral Home, Addison, NY.

Vic,
My condolences to you and your family. I have experienced losing my mother a few years ago, and it is a very empty feeling. I never knew your Mom, but think she must have been a great lady, judging you, her son, who has shown his generosity to many, over the years. may you all find peace and the healing of your loss.
