Charlotte Margaret Williams

1955 - 2013

Charlotte Maraget Williams, aged 58, died peacefully, surrounded by her husband, children, family and friends, on Friday, June 21, 2013 at her home in Santa Clarita CA. She passed after a long and valiant battle with breast cancer.

Charlotte was born May 31, 1955 in South Ruislip, England, the only daughter of Charles T. St. George and Christa Kenfenheuer. Growing up she was known as a rose among thorns, with two older brothers Franz and Chas and two younger brothers Matt and Lincoln.

In 1976, Charlotte married Air Force M.P. Jeffrey Williams in Ramstein, Germany. Upon his completion of military service, Charlotte and Jeff moved from Germany to Southern California. Shortly thereafter, they started a family with the birth of their two sons Jason and J.J. in 1978 and 1979.

Charlotte was an active member of the community and volunteering was very important to her. She volunteered at local schools and with numerous parenting organizations. She taught computer classes at Foster Elementary school and made a lasting impression on many young students.

An accountant by trade, she worked for several small businesses in the Santa Clarita area. Charlotte made life-long friends every place she worked, a direct tribute to her warm personality and gracious demeanor.

An avid entertainer, Charlotte was known for throwing memorable parties for any occasion. These parties brought friends and family together. Her home was always open to anyone and it was always filled with laughter and joy. Her German potato salad and Italian sausages were envied and will be missed. During her fight with breast cancer she participated in events supporting the American Cancer Society, such as the Relay for Life; she was a constant advocate of Stand Up To Cancer and the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation; and she reached out to other breast cancer victims and survivors in the community.

Nicknamed 'Cookie' by her brothers, she was the emotional rock and chief organizing officer of the family. She is survived by her faithful husband, two loving sons, proud parents, four doting brothers, and three nieces and seven nephews. Charlotte became a grandmother shortly after her passing and will always look after her first grandson, Jace, and any subsequent grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Charlotte is scheduled on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the West Creek Clubhouse in Santa Clarita, CA. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation in Charlotte's honor (http://www.tnbcfoundation.org/).
