John "Jack" Bottoni

1943 – 2014

Santa Clarita has lost a long standing member of its community: John Bottoni, known as "Jack", passed away at his home in Saugus, CA with his family by his side on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Over Labor Day weekend 2013, Jack suffered a heart attack and underwent open heart surgery shortly after that. He died as a result of various complications.

Jack was born in Portsmouth, NH on March 2, 1943. He moved with his family, parents Andrew and Edith, and sisters Susan, Mary, and Judi, from Portsmouth to Milwaukee, WI in 1945. He graduated from Pius XI High School in 1961 and went into the Army in 1962 where he served in Vietnam. Honorably discharged in December 1965, he received a Purple Heart.

He married Joanne Rosso on November 26, 1966. They moved to Saugus, CA with their children James "Bubba", Michael, Frederick, and Paul in 1975.

Services will be held this Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 22833 Copper Hill Dr, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.
