1947 - 2013
Loving husband, father, and friend, Thomas John Colleran received a promotion to heaven on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. He had a sudden heart attack and left our world instantly and painlessly. He was born on December 5, 1947 at Saint Joseph's in Burbank, CA.
Tom was a devoted husband of 37 years, loving father and consummate friend. He was a shining example of love in all its forms. His legacy is the impression he left on the hearts of all those who knew him.
Tom worked for Pepsi for 26 years, and was awarded 'Top Salesman' 8 years in a row. He enjoyed 5 years of retirement, and wasted not one minute of it.
Tom took pleasure in all dimensions of life, from coaching his daughters in softball which led them to earn full athletic scholarships, to taking his wife on adventures around the world. He was incredibly active and enjoyed a lifetime of playing tennis, softball, and golf with his close buddies and daughters. He was a gentle soul and generous provider. His family was the pride of his life and their happiness was his greatest accomplishment. He will be deeply missed forever.
Tom's memory will carry forward through his family, including his wife, Catherine Colleran, two daughters Mary Eileen Colleran & Bridgette Trovato, two brothers Jim & Ed Colleran, sister Mary Jane Putman, son-in-law David Trovato; as well as, countless nieces, nephews, and friends. His photo, above, is one of our favorite pictures of Tom, circa 1981, at SeaWorld, happily enjoying vacation time with his wife and baby Mary.
