1932 – 2012

Walter Strang, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Santa Clarita, CA after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Marie, his brothers Dale and Owen, 6 of 7 daughters, 13 of 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 10 nephews and nieces.

Born in Montrose, PA, Walter raised a family and lived most of his life in So Cal. As a young adult he promised to serve God for the rest of his life and was a member of a few Christian and Baptist churches throughout his lifetime. He received gospel ordination as Reverend, wrote a religious song, a witness tract, and authored a book entitled "Heart Attitude."

Walter was a Korean War veteran, US Army Cpl 1950-52. He will be laid to rest privately at Riverside National Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, officiated by Pastor Scott Basolo at Santa Clarita Baptist Church, 27249 Luther Drive, Canyon Country, CA 91351.
