Dylan Zimmerman Obituary
Dylan Tyler Zimmerman, age 21, of Valencia, CA was born January 9, 1993. His promising Life's Journey was cut tragically short as a result of injuries from an automobile accident on Friday, February 14, 2014 in Valencia. Dylan was a graduate of Valencia High School, Class of 2011. He loved video games, music, and played guitar. He was an artist, a poet, and loved spending time at the beach with the love of his life, Thalia Garcia. He was attending College of the Canyons, preparing for a career as an Architect.
Dylan is survived by his parents James and Donna Zimmerman; his beloved sister Marisa; his girlfriend Thalia Garcia; his grandparents: William Wittman and Lynn McGarvey, Marimargaret and Ric Bartlett, Jack and Janet Zimmerman; Aunts and Uncles: Lonnie and Jennifer Mitchell, Julie and Richard Sears, Deborah Wittman, Kathy and Alan Pierce, and Robert and Amy Wittman. Also grieving Dylan's loss are extended family, friends, and acquaintances too numerous to mention.
A celebration of Dylan's life was held at the Hyatt Valencia Grand Ballroom, 24500 Town Center Drive, Valencia, CA 91355 on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dylan Zimmerman Memorial Fund c/o Bank of Santa Clarita, 23780 Magic Mountain Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.

I'm just another local mom who lost her only son quite tragically and I feel the need to reach out to Dylan's family. To let you know that one day you will smile more than you weep, when you think of him. The sight of his beloved belongings will break your hearts and you will never stop wondering who he would be and what he would be doing at any age. But there is one truth, that we are grateful to have had then them the years that we did. I am grateful that Dylan did not know his time was so short, that was a blessing, We shared our son's grief at losing it all as we suffered our own in all his impending lost promise. And to your daughter, she has lost who she was, Dylan's sister. She is going to need a lot of loving care, too. My heart just goes out to all of you to find strength and purpose in this awful outcoming. God Bless.

Dylan has been a close friend of our daughter for nearly 10 years. Everything I know about this young man is exemplary. His fine character and his kind heart will always be remembered by his many friends, and I know they are grieving him deeply. He was the kind of boy that any parent would have been proud of, and the kind of friend that would always be there. He is gone far too soon. My heart goes out to the Zimmermans and to Thalia. Your son was a wonderful boy that was growing into a fine man and our entire community is diminished by his loss.
