CLARKS SUMMIT — Grace Janette Jenkins, 85, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday evening, March 16, 2014, at home. She was the widow of the late Paul Jenkins, who passed away in 1999.
Born in Newton, she was a daughter of the late Hice and Bessie Singer LaCoe. She was a graduate of Newton Ransom High School. For years she worked at the Farmer's Cooperative Market with her brother, Farmer Bucky LaCoe. She was a member of the Clarks Green Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Gilbert, Clayton, Allan and Norman LaCoel and one sister, Annabelle Chapman.
Surviving are four daughters, Grace Fries and her husband, Gary, Nicholson, Phyllis Jenkins, Clarks Summit, Kristin Reynolds and her husband, Todd, Springbrook Township, and Carol Demian, Olyphant; a son, Paul Jenkins and his wife, Luci, Columbia, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, from the Clarks Green Assembly of God Church, 204 S. Abington Road, Clarks Green, with services by the Rev. Glenn White, pastor. Interment will follow at Abington Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
