S. ABINGTON TWP. — Carol J. Lennox, 73, of South Abington Township, died Monday afternoon, June 30, 2014, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the widow of the late Phillip Lennox, who died in 2008.
Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late John and Ruth Hills. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School.
Prior to her retirement, she did clerical work for S. J. Bailey Furniture Co., Clarks Summit.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clarks Summit.
Carol was an avid bowler and loved to do jigsaw puzzles, but her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hills, and a sister, Judy Bideganeta.
Surviving are two sons, Craig Lennox and his wife, Julie, Trooper, and Phillip Lennox, Jackson, Tennessee; a daughter, Diane Lennox, Susquehanna; a brother, William Hills, Mehoopany; a sister, Evelyn Kelly and her husband, Robert, Clarks Summit; two grandsons, Tyler Scopelliti and Evan Lennox.
A funeral service was held from the Trinity Lutheran Church, 205 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. George Mathews, pastor. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
