JUDICE - Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Anthony Falcon, 86, who died on Friday, November 23, 2012 in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans War Home in Jennings.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Reverend Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Duson, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Harriet Delahoussaye and Michele Nero. Giftbearers will be John and Rita Viator. Valerie Andrus, organist and soloist, will sing "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Battle Hymn of The Republic" for the services.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Falcon and Tony Falcon and his wife Janet; two grandchildren, Grant Falcon and Connor Falcon; and one sister, Gertie Lavergne. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leora B. Falcon; one daughter, Beatrice "Bea" Falcon Bearb; parents, Ulysse and Odile Trahan Falcon; two sisters, Helen Guillot and Solange Marie Falcon; and two brothers, Willie Falcon and Frances Falcon.

A native of Rayne and a resident of Judice for most of his life, Anthony Falcon proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was an avid LSU fan and had a deep love of Cajun music. After retiring, he played in Acadiana area restaurants with a group of friends, as a hobby made accordions and was inducted into the Cajun Music Hall of Fame. Mr. Falcon will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Connor Falcon, Grant Falcon, Derek Guidry, Robert Falcon, Mike Zaunbrecher and Tony Falcon.

Honorary Pallbearer is Anthony's nephew, Bradley Lavergne, who passed away.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed by Brady LeBlanc on Saturday at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
