Dear Brooke and Christy Family,
I am so saddened to hear of Johnnie's passing. I will always remember her tenacious and caring spirit. I still have a piece of her painted wood art in my home that she gave to me when I moved away from NOLA! My condolences to you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss.

My prayers are with the entire family. JOhnnie will be missed by so many people whose lives she touched. She lived for her girls and those babies and was so proud of all of you. Some of the times we had together are unbelievable, every where she went she was such a classy lady. Our reunions will not be the same. OHS 61

I remember Johnnie very well as she was my favorite nurse in my father's office many years ago(the late 1960's 70's.) SHw was always smiling, and kept my dad, Dr. Joe Diaz, on his toes throughout the day... and was a breath of fresh air in his office. They had a great rapport with each other.. and I am sure that they are now telling each other many jokes, as they did in the office on Antonine Street. God be with you, and my prayers are with all of the family...

Ms. Christy made such an impression on me, after meeting her the very first time. I had the opportunity to have wonderful conversations with her, during the week I filled in for her regular petsitter. I looked forward to looking after her sweet cats and dogs, but truly to our chats, which always included how much she loved her pets and her family. She was a beautiful woman, with such grace and class. I feel blessed to have met her.

Brooke, Caroline, and Heather,
Johnnie was a good friend to me for many years after first being in my pottery class and then eventually the owner of the studio. We went through many of life's ups and downs together. I will always remember how supportive she was to me. She was so proud of her children (you). I want you to know how important she was to me even though the years separated us. I recently thought of her. I will keep you three in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Traci
