Dr. Roy L. Landry, MD NEW IBERIA - Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, on Friday, December 26, 2014, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Dr. Roy L. Landry, MD, 84, who passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in New Iberia. Rev. Ed Degeyter, will be the Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, 130 N. Richelieu Circle, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM Friday. A graduate of St. Peter's College, SLI, and LSU School of Medicine, Dr. Landry attended annual retreats at Our Lady of the Oaks every year since high school. He was co-owner of Dauterive Hospital where he practiced for 40 years. After his retirement, he volunteered for Hospice of Acadiana for 5 years. Dr. Landry established the first occupational Medicine Clinic at the Port of Iberia. He was an active member of the American Medical Society, and the American College of Occupational Medicine, American College of Family Physicians, and was also an Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Landry served on the Board of Directors of People's Bank. An avid hunter, he spent many days fishing and traveling. He loved his family dearly and was a devout Catholic. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Flo Montte Landry of New Iberia, LA; three sons, Greg Landry and wife Donna of Lafayette, LA, Patrick Landry and wife Rita of Youngsville, LA, Stephen Landry and wife Carol of Lafayette, LA; two daughters, Ginger Walker and husband Tommy of Broussard, LA, Debbie Brown of Lafayette, LA; sister, Gloria Wiggins of Delcambre, LA; 11 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Adolph Landry, mother, Nathalie Landry, brother, Dr. Edwin Landry and wife Edna Lea, brother-in-law, Pervis Wiggins, infant granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Landry. Pallbearers will be Greg Landry, Patrick Landry, Steve Landry, Ryan Landry, Timothy Brown, and Daniel Brown. Honorary pallbearers include Tommy Walker, Luke Walker, Jake Walker, Andrew Landry, and Caleb Mayard. Charles L. Lasley GRAND COTEAU - Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church for Charles L. Lasley, age 82, who passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 7:25 p.m. in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Mr. Lasley was a native of Troy, Tennessee and a resident of Sunset. He retired from Sears after more than 10 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sue Lasley of Sunset; four sons, Tim Lasley and wife, Sherry, of Sunset, Scott Lasley of Berwyn Heights, MD, Steve Lasley of Atlanta, GA, Bruce Lasley and wife, Tamara, of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Taylor Suir and husband, Kevin, Lauren Lasley, Constance Lasley; one great grandchild, Amelie Suir; and one sister, Elsie McKeethan and husband, George, of Lenior City, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Lasley and the former Clara Cravins; and two sisters, Ruth Armstrong and Edna Plunkett. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Norma Lee Darbonne Lagrange Grand Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial for Ms. Norma Lee Darbonne Lagrange will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery. Ms. Norma was a native of Swords and was a current resident of Winnfield. She passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield, LA, surrounded by her family at the age of 90. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and doing yardwork. She was a wonderful mother and aunt to many nieces and nephews who enjoyed visiting her home. She is survived by her son, Glenn Lagrange of Tampa, FL; and her daughter, Pat L. Flowers of Winnfield, LA; two sisters, Lucretia "Lou" Darbonne Mosely of Port Allen; and Beatrice Sue Darbonne Grimmett of Grand Coteau; three grandchildren, Ross Flowers of Dallas, TX; Nicholas Flowers of Bossier City, LA; and Justin Flowers of Dallas, TX; and one great-grandchild, Finn Flowers of Bossier City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Lagrange; her parents, Ezeb Darbonne, Sr. and Beatrice LeDoux Darbonne; her son-in-law, Jimmy Flowers; her brothers, Anthony Darbonne, Ezeb Darbonne, Jr., Jack Darbonne, and Harrison Darbonne; and her sisters, Mathilde Darbonne, Leona Darbonne Thibodaux, and Willie Mae Darbonne Pelafigue. Visiting hours will be held in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Monday, December 22, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A rosary Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home. Marie Louise Patin LaFleur LAFAYETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers for Marie Louise Patin LaFleur. Entombment will be at Calvary Mausoleum. Reverend Steve LeBlanc Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church will be the Celebrant. Born in Nina, LA in 1932, Marie lived her entire adult life in Lafayette, LA. She passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Marie was a beautiful person, full of life and energy. She would light up a room when she walked in with her sparkling eyes and her laughter. Marie meant many things to many people and was dearly loved by her family and friends. She had a generous soul and was a ?rm Catholic, an avid gardener, a talented seamstress, and a wonderful cook. She was also very active in the jewelry business with her husband, Russell LaFleur, of LaFleur Jewelers. Marie loved to travel, to visit, and to host gatherings and holidays that will live forever in the hearts and memories of her family who loved and appreciated her. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty three years, Russell LaFleur, as well as one daughter, nine grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joel Singleton, Russell Paul Chaisson, Gabriel Mondino, Keenan Menard, Dwayne Thibodeaux and Corey Thibodeaux. The family will receive friends at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visiting hours will resume on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 9:00 am until time of services. LeJeune, Michael  
Michael Gene LeJeune JENNINGS - Funeral services for Mr. Michael Gene LeJeune, 68, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014, in the Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will be in the St. Jules Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary led by Melody Trahan will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. LeJeune died Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette after a brief battle with leukemia. He was a native of Jennings and a resident of Youngsville for 36 years. He was an E-3 in the U.S. Air Force where he made two tours in Vietnam. He loved to garden; he was a loving, caring and giving husband, father, and friend to everyone. He also loved Mil Mil's cats. Survivors include one daughter, Nicole LeJeune of Youngsville; one sister, Elaine Simar of Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lydiana Leger LeJeune; his wife, Mildred DuCharme LeJeune; one sister, Patsy Landry and one brother, Steven LeJeune. Lemaire, Sister Mary Florence  
Sister Mary Florence Lemaire, MHS LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at a 1 PM Mass of Resurrection in the Chapel of Bethany MHS Health Care Center in Lafayette, LA. for Sister Mary Florence Lemaire, MHS, the former Gertrude Marie Lemaire, who died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Bethany MHS Health Care Center at the age of 90. Reverend Thomas Finley Chaplain of Bethany Health Care Center in Lafayette will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Gertrude was the daughter of the late Ivy V. Lemaire and Lillian Langley Lemaire and was born on November 14, 1924 in Port Arthur, TX. She attended Sulphur Elementary School in Sulphur, LA and Welsh High School in Welch, LA. She received an LPN in Nursing from T. H. Harris Vocational School in Opelousas, LA. Entering the Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament in 1942, she professed Perpetual Vows in 1947. At the time of her death she was in her 72nd year of Religious Life. Sister Florence spent the first 31 years as a MHS Sister in ministry to the sisters at the Motherhouse in Lafayette, in Gretna, LA and in Birmingham, AL. She also was the Prefect of Boarders at St. Joseph School in Gretna, LA and Annunciation High School in New Orleans, LA. She longed to be a nurse and on June 7, 1974 she received her nursing certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse from T. H. Harris Vocational Technical School. For the next 30 years she ministered to residents at Oakwood Village Nursing Home and Bethany MHS Health Care Center in Lafayette and the Mount Carmel Sisters Motherhouse Infirmary in New Orleans, LA. Sister Florence was a very compassionate person with a spirit of adventure. She loved traveling and was often a companion for someone on a trip or organizing a trip for the sisters. She had a great devotion to Mary and in her final illness she professed her love for Mary and Jesus. She had a joyful spirit and will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to everyone she met. She is survived by a sister, Camilla Hollier, numerous nieces and nephews, and her religious family, the Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament. She was preceded in death by her parents Ivy and Lillian Langley Lemaire and four brothers, Robert, Paul, Eugene and Albert Lemaire. Visitation for Sister Florence will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 9 AM until Mass time at the Chapel of Bethany MHS Health Care Center, with a Rosary Service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. The MHS Sisters wish to thank Dr. Glen Mire and the Staff at Bethany for the excellent care Sister Florence received.
