Bernice C. Richard SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015, at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, for Bernice C. Richard, age 80, who died on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum. Reverend Andre Metrejean, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Melanie Bourque and Alicia Menard. Survivors include her daughter, Greta King and husband Steve; her son, Marcus Richard and wife Teressa; her brother, John Comeaux and wife Lara; her two granddaughters, Melanie Bourque and husband Timmy, and Alicia Menard and husband Jason; her three grandsons, Dedrick Richard, Trent Richard and wife Allyson, and Jarett Richard; and her six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdie Richard; her parents, Jeansois and Bertha Comeaux; and her sister, Curnis Castille. A resident of Scott, Bernice was a native of the Bristol community. She was a member of the St. Jules Catholic Daughters and was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, and camping with her husband. She will be deeply missed. Pallbearers will be Dedrick, Trent, and Jarett Richard, John Comeaux, Timmy Bourque and Jason Menard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marcus Richard, Steve King, and her six great grandchildren. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7:00 PM by Deacon Art Bakeler in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. Gloria M. Roger LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Gloria Roger, age 87, the former Gloria Myers, who passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Rev. Gary Schexnayder pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton, will officiate at the services. Readers will be Melissa Goin, Nancy LeBlanc and Britt Dugas. Gift bearers will be Gloria Picard, Jessica Vicknair and Bonnie Simon. Musical selections will be provided by Stacy Caffery. The songs will be Amazing Grace, Hail Mary, Gentle Woman, Here I Am Lord and Just A Closer Walk With Thee. Mrs. Roger was a native of Cankton and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She was employed with Stop and Shop BBQ of Lafayette for over twenty years. Survivors include one son, Louis Roger, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Lafayette; two daughters, Joyce Touchet of Carencro and Barbara Picard and her husband, Allan, of Lafayette; nine grandchildren, Michael Fabacher and his fiancé, Sheri Matta, of Conroe, TX, Bonnie Simon and her companion, Tisha Buchannan, of Lockport, Gloria Picard of Carencro, Paul L. Picard and his wife, Beja, of Lewisburg, KY, Jessica Vicknair and her husband, Shain, of Eunice, Nancy LeBlanc and her husband, Andrew, Sr., of Duson, Jason Roger, Sr. of Lafayette, Chad Roger of Washington State, and Brad Roger of CA; seventeen great grandchildren, Melissa Goins, Britt Dugas, Brandi Dugas, Lee-Allan Dugas, Kobe Vicknair, Gabriel Vicknair, Zachary Vicknair, Hunter Vicknair, Andrew LeBlanc, Jr., Nathan LeBlanc, Haiden LeBlanc, Harley LeBlanc, Jason Roger, Jr., London Roger, Bonnie Roger and Simon Roger; six step grandchildren; ten step great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Theresa Myers of Lafayette and Irene Myers of Carencro. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, Louis Roger, Sr.; her parents, Forestier Myers and the former Edna Savoie, both natives of Cankton; three brothers, John "L.J." Myers, Lazphore Myers and Jules Myers; two sisters, Emma Lou Boss and Verdie Seaux; four nephews, John Alton Myers, John F. Myers, Jerry Lee Myers, and John H. Seaux; and three nieces, Edna Thibodeaux, Mary Elsamryi and Marie Meche. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Sunday and will remain open all night until service time on Monday. Pallbearers will be Paul Picard, Louis Myers, Lee-Allan Dugas, Jason Roger, Shain Vicknair, Andrew LeBlanc, Luther Myers and Kobe Vicknair. Terrie Ann Hebert Lavergne Renfro Lafayette - Terrie Ann Hebert Lavergne Renfro was the 5th child born to the union of Roy Hebert and Verna Mae Prejean Hebert on November 4, 1955. She was called home to eternal glory on May 21, 2015 @ 3:20pm after a short illness at Memorial Hermann in Houston Texas. Terrie lived with her maternal grandparents, Lennis and Eula Mae Chaisson Prejean as a young girl. After their death she lived with her mother and eventually moved to Houston, TX with her father and step mother. Terrie graduated from Booker T. Washington Senior High School. She then went on to work at her parent's Laundromat. She also worked with her step mother cleaning houses and as a caretaker for several children whom she loved like her own. Terrie later met and married Leroy Lavergne, and was widowed in 1990. Terrie then met Lewis Wesley Renfro who became the love of her life and on May 1, 2001 they were married. Terrie's favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends, coloring in a coloring book, watching her soap operas and traveling with her spouse. She was also known for keeping her nails immaculate. She loved and always had a desire to take care of others. She will be missed by the many friends that she made, and the passerby's that she waved at while enjoying her evening on her porch. Although she never had biological children she was a mother figure and Nanny to all of her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Each and every one of them held a special place in her heart. Terrie is preceded in death by her first husband; Leroy Lavergne, father; Roy Hevert, step-mother; Leona Hebert, sisters; Carolyn Felix, Patricia Hebert, Vernis Leopold, and step-sister; Janice Pearson, one brother; Joseph Carroll Hebert, brother-in-laws; Joseph Oran Felix, Patrick Gene Leopold, and Larry Pearson, and one step-child; Darlene Renfro Westbrook. Terrie is survived by her loving husband; Lewis W. Renfro, mother; Verna Mae Hebert, godmother; Ethel Carmouche, brothers; Roy Allen Hebert, Floyd Lewis (Natasha), sisters; Lynda H. Young, Roxanne Williams (Julian), Stella Lewis, Clara Lewis, and Beulah Lewis. Her step-children; Wanda Renfro Hasley, Lewis Renfro Jr., Cindy Renfro, and Mark Renfro, godchildren; Melissa Felix and Tyreana Leopold, special niece; Kayona Hedspeth and her grandchildren; Jazmyne, Julaun and Paul Jr. Terrie will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. St. Paul Catholic Church in Lafayette with viewing beginning at 8:00a.m. at the Church. Beverly, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Hebra Robin and the former Edith Perrio. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kim Richard and Shane Richard; one sister, Anna Mae Robin Lagrange; special nieces, Mary Ann Michalk and her husband Bob and Linda Smalley and her husband Frank and nephew, Gerald J. Duhon and his wife Noreen and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mack J. Richard; two sons, Richard Dale Richard and Brian Richard; her sister, Gussie R. Duhon; her brothers, Chester Robin, Dallas Robin, Ivan Robin and Overton Robin. Charles D. Randal, Sr. LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Charles D. Randal, 83, who passed away Friday, May 15, 2015. Pastor Thomas James of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Lafayette, LA will conduct the Funeral Services. Entombment will take place at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery/St. Mary's Mausoleum. LTC (R) Charles Dallas Randal, Sr. was the eldest child born on September 25, 1932 to the late Aurelia and Dallas Randal of Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated from Paul Breaux High School. He then attended Southern University A&M and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He played Trombone in the Southern University Band, and pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. During his time at Southern University, he became involved in the ROTC program which launched his successful career in the U. S. Army where he reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He served in the Vietnam War. In his last two assignments in the Army, LTC(R) Randal was instrumental in establishing and developing ROTC programs at two Historically Black Colleges. He was an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida; and the first Professor of Military Science at Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi - an ROTC program that he established. After 20 years of military service to our country, he retired to civilian life. Charles Randal was named director of Job Training Programs for Lafayette Parish. He was Community Development Block Grant Program Coordinator for the City of Lafayette and in that position planned and implemented the first CETA Manpower Programs to be administered by the city. He developed and coordinated the employee evaluation program that was used by the city of Lafayette. He was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver, Inc. Council #76 where he was an active member and served as Grand Knight. He was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where he served as Polemarch of the Opelousas Chapter. He was also a member the Southern Alumni Chapter. Continuing with the entrepreneurial spirit of his father, Dallas Randal, he managed the Randal Family Rental properties, and owned two Laundromats. He also operated a summer concession stand at Heymann Park, run by his two sons, Charles and Carl, who were teenagers at the time. LTC(R) Randal was an avid golfer and tennis player. He enjoyed cooking, listening to good music on his Reel to Reel, and was a great Chess player. He and his wife, Ruby, enjoyed entertaining their family and friends as well as the members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity at their home for many years. He truly loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. LTC(R) Charles D. Randal Sr. is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruby Lene Washington Randal; his children, Charles Dallas Randal Jr. (Shirlyn), LTC(R) Carl David Randal (Ruth); Dr. Cheryl Denise Randal M.D. (Dr. Theodore) Knatt, Sr. M.D.; his grandchildren, Bria Nicol Randal, Charles Edward Randal, Christopher Knatt, Camille Denise Knatt, and Corinne Elise' Knatt; his sister, Virginia Randal (Wilbert) Johnson; sister-in-law, Geraldine Randal; brother-in-law, Charles Odom and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurelia and Dallas Randal, and three brothers, Louis Stephen Randal, Chester Randal and Raymond C. Randal (Melba). He was followed in death by his sister, Betty G. Randal Odom and his aunt, Hattie J. Harris. Visitation will be held Monday, May 25, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Joe Dean Rountree YOUNGSVILLE - Memorial Services for Joe Dean Rountree will be held at Trinity Bible Church on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 6:30 pm. Joe Dean was born in Texas City, TX on March 4, 1932 and resided in Hackberry and Milton, LA for the majority of her life. She peacefully passed away in her sleep on May 23, 2015 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents; her 3 siblings; her husband and her son, Ernest Parker and daughter, Joyce "Deannie" Seay.
