Services will be conducted by Father Sebastian Myladiyil, SVD. Entombment will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery/St. James Garden Mausoleum. He is survived by his daughter, Juledith (Albert) Johnlouis; son, Elvis (Phyllis Willis) Hamilton; brothers, Adam (Anna) Hamilton and Paul Hamilton; sisters, Eva Senegal, Adrienne Senegal, Althea Lawrence and Viola JohnLouis; his special friend and companion, Carolyn JohnLouis; grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Dennis Hamilton; sons, Daniel and Arnold Hamilton; parents, Adam and Rita Jeffery Hamilton; brothers, William and George Hamilton; sisters, Cecilia Walker and Margaret Galentine. Alice Pratt Harmon LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00AM at True Vine Ministries for Alice Pratt Harmon, (86) who passed away on June 20, 2015. She leaves to cherish beautiful memories, her seven children: harry james "Adofo" (Jaha), Barbara J. Bush (Lucius), Rose Marie, Janice M. Harmon Simmons (Herbert, Jr.), Jarvis James, Sr. (Clevon), Marva Ann, Myra Lynn Due (Steve); nine grandchildren who absolutely adored her: Shane Anthony Lockett (Ebony), Zuri Afrikue, Lawanna M. Hicks (Marcus), Hasheem Bakari, Jarvis James, Jr., Jamie Jamar (Victoria); Morgan Rae, Zachary Omari Simmons, Jayden Jaron; five great grandchildren: Kira Kimani Charlot, Tyjah Monee' Miles, Caylen Jamar Alfred, Seth Matthew Hicks, Ian Alexander Hicks, Autumn Alyce, Noah Carter Laday, one great-great grandchild Brylee Zhanae and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Siblings which survive Alice are brothers: Moses Pratt, Houston TX; Lee Perry Pratt, Lafayette, LA; Cleveland Pratt, Oakland, CA; Sisters: Annie L. Pratt, Lafayette; LA; Mary Lou Pratt, Richmond, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Mervin Harmon, her parents, Clayborne Pratt and Annie Jones Pratt, Siblings: John Pratt, Genevieve Thorn, and Rosella Marks. Evelia Marks Landry ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Opelousas for Evelia Marks Landry, age 85, the former Evelia Marks, who passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Rev. Chad Thibodeaux, pastor of Vatican Baptist Church, will officiate at the services. Musical selections will be He Touched Me, Amazing Grace and In the Garden. Mrs. Landry was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Opelousas. Evelia worked for the St. Landry Parish School Board for 22 1/2 years. Survivors include three sons, Elward James Landry and wife, Claudette, of Sunset, Elton Landry, Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Opelousas and Eddie Landry and wife, Bee Bee, of Arnaudville; one daughter, Elaine Artigue and husband, Calvin, of Arnaudville; two sisters, Edna Marks Speyrer and husband, W.G., of Washington and Jeanette Marks Stelly and husband, John, of Breaux Bridge; ten grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elton Joseph Landry; her second husband, Malcolm Joseph Prudhomme; her parents, Rene Marks and the former Olivia Lagrange; two brothers, Edgar Marks and Saul Marks, Sr.; and one sister, Ella Marks Stelly. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Larue, Anna Celine Carver  
Anna Celine Carver Larue LAFAYETTE - Funeral services for Anna Celine Carver Larue, 92, will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Services will begin with a eulogy at 11:15AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille. Mrs. Larue died at her residence on Friday, June 17, 2016. Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum of the Resurrection. The Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor, Holy Cross Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be the grandsons of the deceased. A native of Lake Charles and a resident of Lafayette for 62 years, Mrs. Larue was the daughter of the late Floyd Maurice Carver, Sr. of Welsh, LA and Mabel Marie Fournet of Lake Charles. She was the wife of the late Ferdinand Louis de Vesine Larue, Jr. of New Orleans. They were best friends and fishing partners for 50 years prior to Mr. Larue's death in 1994. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Larue served as a secretary in numerous organizations, beginning with her position as secretary to Mr. Larue's commanding officer in the Army Air Force during WWII, and including the Economics Department at UL Lafayette (then USL), and the U.S. Geological Survey. She was also a highly skilled seamstress and the creator of a number of beautiful wedding gowns and prom dresses. Survivors include: five daughters, Madeleine Larue of Lafayette, Yvonne Larue, Eleanor Larue Cordell, both of Austin, TX, Jane Larue Beyt and husband, Gene, of Indianapolis, IN, and Catherine Larue and husband, Jim Ledbetter, of Chattanooga, TN; eight grandchildren, Amy Mangano and husband, J.J., of Denham Springs, LA, Mindy Cordell Martin and husband, Tony, of Mandeville, LA, Daniel Cordell of Austin, TX, Michael Beyt of Indianapolis, IN, David Beyt and wife, Lisa, of Edinburgh, Scotland, Christopher Beyt and wife, Maureen, of Champaign, IL, Charles J. Morris, Jr. of Tacoma, WA, and Anna-Claire Morris Bullington and husband, Cory, of Athens, GA; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Martin, Ava Martin, Sophia Mangano, James Beyt and Scott Beyt; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Larue was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and an infant son, Robert James Larue. Deepest appreciation to all who assisted in her care, especially Roxanne and Heart of Hospice team, Maria, Sarah, and Katie. A Rosary will be recited at Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 6:00PM. Lemoine, Lynn  
Lynn George Lemoine ST. MARTINVILLE - Funeral services will be held for Lynn George Lemoine at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive in Lafayette, LA on Monday June 20, 2016. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a service in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers, presided over by Deacon Art Bakeler starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Lafayette Memorial Cemetery on Pinhook Road. Lynn had a career first as a carpenter and then as a crane operator for Harry Hebert Homes for over 20 years. He later started his own lawn service. Lynn never married preferring the independent life of a confirmed bachelor. He retired around 2003 and moved to Parks, LA living the country life with his dogs Daisy, Josie Wales, and Trouble. A man of modest means with a big heart and a gruff exterior Lynn never knew a stranger. He frequently shared his mechanical skills with whoever was in need, always promising to send a large bill for his services which never arrived. He loved crawfish boils, Logan Farm's Honey Hams, and family gatherings where he would be teased endlessly by his nephews and friends only to respond with laughter and an endearing smile. He is survived by his sister Marie Elise Lemoine Hebert of Lafayette, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Alco Lemoine; his two brothers, Marshall Lemoine of Lafayette, LA and Joe Lemoine of Houston, TX The family would like to thank the kind professionals at Lafayette General Hospital and the Carpenter House Hospice Facility for their care in Lynn's final days. Mallett, James Leroy  
JAMES LEROY MALLETT MONTGOMERY - After a lengthy illness, James L. Mallett (Lt Col, USAF, Ret), smiled his final smile at home in Montgomery, AL, on the first day of summer, June 20. Born in Robertsdale, AL 68 years ago, and spending his formative years in Lafayette, LA, Jim moved to Montgomery, AL in 1982 where he lived the remainder of his life. Predeceased by his father, George Troy Mallett; his mother, Lorena Hester Mallett; and his step-mother, Mae Sones Mallett, Jim's greatest grief occurred in 1993 when he lost his oldest son, Jason, age 23. Last year, losing his father and mother-in-law, as well as his brother-in-law, James, Sue, and Roger Reehl, created a sorrowful void in his life just as he began his retirement and year-long illness. Jim's joy came from his surviving family--- brothers: George Troy Mallett, Houston, TX; Thomas (Barbara) Mallette, Lafayette, LA; sister: Ginger (Dallas) Baker, Houston, TX; wife: Susan Reehl Broderick Mallett, Montgomery, AL; sons and families: William (Kirsten) Mallett with grandchildren, Olivia, Lindsey, and Benjamin, Norfolk, VA; Bryan (Jackie) Broderick, with grandsons, Bowyn and Bridger, Fairhope, AL; and Jordan (Whitney) Broderick, with grandchildren, Ryan and Logan, Montgomery, AL. Jim graduated from Lafayette (LA) High School, Southwestern Louisiana University and St. Louis's Webster College in addition to several military colleges. He spent almost 50 years serving across the nation, in Europe and in Southeast Asia while in the United States Air Force, and, following as Education Director at the Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters at Maxwell AFB, AL. With all of Jim's professional accomplishments on earth, his compassion for others, and his impeccable integrity, he will be missed. His family and professional legacies will endure. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at Dalraida United Methodist Church, 3817 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, Alabama, 36109. Dalraida's Pastoral Assistant, Jason Gregg, and Dr. Jay Hughes, Civil Air Patrol's National Chaplain (GA), will lead the service. Military honors will be presented, with visitation and an evening meal in the church Fellowship Hall to follow. Any donation desires are requested to be provided to "Mallett ACE Memorial Fund" (Aerospace Connections in Education Program). Mason, Mary  
Mary Celina Guidry Mason FRANKLIN - Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin for Mary Celina Guidry Mason, a native of Morgan City and a current resident of Duson, who passed away at the age of 47 on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at her home following a long and courageous battle with cancer. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert's from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. Bro. Blaise Smith will conduct the memorial service. A private inurnment will be held by the family at a later date. Mary was an animal lover through and through and enjoyed taking care of any and all kinds of animals. Another of her passions in life was restoring old furniture bringing new life to it. She loved visiting thrift stores and couldn't pass up a garage sale. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, James Mason of Duson; her mother and step-father, Jaynece Bevills Thibodeaux and Telesmar "Blackie" Thibodeaux of Scott; one daughter, Jessica Bernard of Mobile, AL; one son, Tyler Voisin of Centerville; three step-children, James Brewer, Edward Mason, Amber Brewer; one grandchild who was the light of her life, Khali Voisin; one step-sister, Rhonda Bearb and her husband Tommy of Rayne; two step-brothers, Shernal Thibodeaux and his wife Jackie of Mire, and Donnie Thibodeaux of Crowley; six step-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilmo Joseph Guidry Jr.; an infant brother, Joseph Guidry; her brother, Craig Anthony Guidry; paternal grandparents, Wilmo and Emily Guidry; maternal grandparents, Bill and Lorene Bevills; her step-mother, Shirley Clements Guidry; and her former husband, Irvin Voisin. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs and nurses of STAT Home Health, St. Joseph Hospice of Lafayette and The Carpenter House of Lafayette for the loving and compassionate care given to Mary in her time of need.
