Anna Lee Dugas Dejean
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Anna Lee Dugas Dejean, age 93, the former Anna Dugas, who passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 p.m. at Camelot of Broussard Nursing Home in Broussard.
Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Rev. Andre-Metrejean, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Ms. Dejean was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette. She was employed with the Louisiana Department of Labor for 30 years. Ms. Dejean loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included crossword puzzels and scrach offs from the Lotto.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth DeJean and his wife, Marilyn, of Sunset; one daughter, Beryl deJean of Youngsville; four grandchildren, Kellie Flynn and her husband, Jamie, Kerry Fontenot and his wife, Katie, Shellie Albarado and her husband, Chris, and Micki deJean; and five great grandchildren, Abigail Flynn, Alicia Flynn, Brayden Albarado, Briley Albarado and Kaleb Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dugas and the former Michael Prejean; her husband of 13 years, Eddie Dejean; three brothers, A.J. Dugas, Sidney Dugas and Paul Dugas; and one sister, Lois Mizzi.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
