LAFAYETTE - Memorial Services will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm for Camille Stephanie "Stevie" Pellerin, 68, who passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her residence.

Deacon James B. Davis, Chaplin with Hospice of Acadiana, will conduct the funeral services.

Camille, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Floyd DeRouen and the former Stephanie Bienvenu.

Stevie graduated from Our Lady of Fatima High School in 1963 and the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) in 1967 with a degree in Medical Records. After working in Houma and Beaumont, Stevie returned to Lafayette and began her career at Our Lady of Lourdes. Following her marriage to Raymond Pellerin and the birth of her daughter Michele, Stevie left her career to devote herself fully to her husband and daughter. She loved cooking, watching ice skating, collecting angels, and spending time with her family and friends.

In her later years as she dealt with severe physical pain and breast cancer, her joyful spirit permeated every room she entered. She loved talking to people, friends and strangers alike. Even while receiving chemo treatments, she comforted others while making them smile and laugh.

She is survived by her loving husband of forty three years Raymond J. Pellerin; her mother, Stephanie B. DeRouen; one daughter, Michele P. Turner and her husband Bentley; two grandsons, Banyan Turner and Spencer Turner.

She was preceded in death by her father Floyd DeRouen.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 11:30 am until time of service.

The family would like to thank Dr. Deborah Johnson for her care during many difficult years. In addition, the family wishes to thank Hospice of Acadiana for their exceptional support and care; they are particularly grateful for the spirit of professionalism and love shown by her nurse Jo Doucet.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana 2600 Johnston St. Suite 200 Lafayette, LA 70503
