LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Clara C. Mouton, 73, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Reverend John "Buddy" Breaux, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be her Godchildren, Casey Comeaux Landry and Paulette Mouton Boudreaux. Giftbearers will be her Grandchildren, Taylor Haydell Breaux, Tyler Haydell, Sydni Haydell, Kate Mouton, Riley Haydell and Ava Mouton. Jodi Bollich, organist and vocalist, accompanied by Sanford Comeaux, Jr., vocalist, will sing "On Eagles' Wings", "Ave Maria", "How Great Thou Art" and "The Prayer" for the services.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years, Malcolm Mouton; three children, Debbie Haydell and her husband Mike Haydell, Eddie Mouton and his wife Pam Peyton Mouton and Jan Haydell and her husband Pat Haydell; six grandchildren, Taylor Haydell Breaux and her husband Edward Breaux, Jr., Tyler Haydell, Sydni Haydell, Kate Mouton, Riley Haydell and Ava Mouton; her father, Sanford Comeaux, Sr.; two brothers, Sanford Comeaux, Jr. and his wife Pam Comeaux and Al Comeaux and his wife Rainni Comeaux; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Judice Comeaux.

A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Clara Mouton was a secretary at Cathedral Carmel High School and St. Thomas More High School for many years. She was also Provincial's secretary at De La Salle for five years. Clara Mouton will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Mouton, Mike Haydell, Pat Haydell, Tyler Haydell, Riley Haydell, Edward Breaux, Jr. and Mark Comeaux.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Sanford Comeaux, Jr., Al Comeaux, Don Mouton, Eric Mouton and Rob Mouton.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Clara Mouton's name to the Saint La Salle Auxiliary, P. O. Box 928, Covington, LA 70434, for the infirmed and elderly De La Salle Christian Brothers.
