LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Donald "Tiger" Alexander, age 51, who passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 6:56 p.m. at LSU HSC University Medical in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Donny Klostermeier, associate pastor of Our Savior Church in Lafayette, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Alexander was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He was a jockey in the horse racing industry having traveled throughout the state and nationally for over twenty years.

Survivors include one brother, Alfred Alexander, Jr. and his fiancée, Mary Journet, of Carencro; two sisters, Linda A. Mills and her husband, Sonny, of Scott and Patricia Alexander of Lafayette; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Alexander, Sr. and the former Marjorie Roy.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
