George Ernest LeBlanc
ABBEVILLE - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of George Ernest LeBlanc, 32, who died Saturday, May 18, 2013.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Hebert, Clarence (Bubba) Dersormaux, Derek Dugas, Frank Lemaire, Jason Bourque and James Latiolias. Honorary pallbearers will be Lainey LeBlanc and Johnny LeBlanc.
George was an avid LSU fan and loved being outdoors. He also loved hunting, fishing, riding his four wheeler, mowing grass and spending time with his children, family and friends. He was also an Eagle Scout. George graduated from North Vermilion High School in 1999. After graduation he joined the United States Navy
where he served his country for four years. He was stationed in Maine. After returning home he started working in the oilfield. He was employed by Expro as a wireline Support Supervisor.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas LeBlanc and the former Ernest Dean Ortolon; Ma-Maw Eva Mae Ortolon; three children, Tanner Hill of Austin, TX, Lainey Rene Leblanc and Johnny Dean LeBlanc both of Abbeville; a sister, Christi Pitre and her husband, J.J. Pitre of Lafayette; a special friend Erin Landry of New Iberia; two aunts, Sue LeBlanc of Onalaska, TX and Anita Matte of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his Pa-Paw, George Ortolon and great grandmother, Ella Blanchard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 p.m. the funeral home will remain open all night until time of services on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
