Kermit James Duhon
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 10:00 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Kermit James Duhon, age 78, who died on Friday, January 4, 2013 at his residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott.
Reverend Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island, Louisiana will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include three daughters, Sabrina Duhon Jagneaux and her husband Kevin, Dayna Duhon and Amanda Gary and her husband Ike; one grandchild, Darrell Jake Duplechin; one great grandchild, Daqualin Thomas; two sisters, Eunella Miller and her husband Herbert, and Brenda Vincent and her husband Donald; two brothers, Manuel Duhon and his wife Helen and Walter Duhon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Duhon and the former Agnes Hernandez, both natives of Ridge, Louisiana.
Mr. Duhon was born on July 21, 1934 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a veteran of military service, having proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy
. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Duhon was self employed as a Plumber and was owner and operator of Kermit Plumbing. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and brother, and will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers will be Manuel Duhon, Darrell Jake Duplechin, Kevin Jagneaux, Darrell Lemaire and Herbert Miller.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home by Brady LeBlanc.
