CANKTON - Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Mildred Latour, age 92, the former Mildred Miller, who passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 9:56 a.m. at Evangeline Oaks Guest House in Carencro.
Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro.
Mrs. Latour was a native of Cankton, having lived most of her life in Lafayette until returning to Cankton in 1989. She was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton. Mrs. Latour was a great mother and very loving grandmother.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Latour and his wife, Claire, and Kenneth Wayne Latour and his wife, Mary "Sis", all of Cankton; four grandchildren, Michelle Hardeman, Brandi Bellard and her husband, Shane, all of Lafayette, Nikki Latour Castille and Jared Latour, both of Cankton; and four great grandchildren, Christopher Leonberger, Jeremy Hardeman, Cristyn Bellard and Joshua Bellard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Latour; and her parents, Elridge J. Miller and the former, Valsane Prejean.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jared Latour, Shane Bellard, Tommy Mott, Scotty Latour, Christopher Leonberger and Jeremy Hardeman.
