Pamela Kimbrough Ayres

BATON ROUGE - A native of Lafayette, LA and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Pam passed away on February 2, 2014, at age 67. She is survived by her daughter, Shawn Ayres Prima and husband Matt of St. Martinville, LA, son Blaine Ayres and wife Mary Ann of Baton Rouge, LA, son Brian Ayres and wife Margaret of New Orleans, LA, son Jason Ayres and wife Jill of Baton Rouge, LA, sister Penny Kimbrough Butts and husband Lucius of Baton Rouge, LA, brother Thomas Kimbrough, III and wife Margaret Barton of Jacksonville, FL, eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Thomas and Dorothy Kimbrough of Lafayette, LA.

Ms. Pam, as she was known, spent thirty years as a teacher and extended care director at St. James Episcopal Day School in Baton Rouge, LA. She was passionate about educating her students, as well as her kids and grandkids, about science and the natural world. She was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at St. James Episcopal Church on Thursday, February 6th from 5:00 to 7:30 pm and Friday, February 7th from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to St. James Episcopal Day School.
