Ralph H. Weber
LAFAYETTE - Ralph H. Weber passed away in peace surrounded by loved ones on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2013. He was 84. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro.
The Rev. James Craft, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Lafayette will conduct the services assisted by Dr. Bill Jones, director of the New York Gospel Mission.
Ralph was a native of Chicago, a longtime resident of both Colorado and North Carolina, and most recently a resident of Lafayette for the past four years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lafayette and a veteran of the military, having served in the U. S. Army
Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed antiquing, canoeing, and leading Bible studies, but most of all encouraging and helping others.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Weber and his wife, Dierdre, of Carencro, Dr. Steve Weber of Ft. Collins, CO, Dr. Bill Jones and his wife, Jill, of New York, NY; four daughters, Lenna Waters and her husband, Phil, of Melbourne, Australia, Chrystal Queen and her husband, Roger, of Carencro, LuAnn Arellano of Pueblo, CO and Lynn Tanner and her husband, Jeff, of McKinney, TX; twenty grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; and his sister, Janet Page of Tampa, FL.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn Babcock Weber; his parents, Edward F. Weber and the former Pearl Gorgas, both natives of Chicago, IL; and one brother, Edward Weber. His burial will be in Nortonville, KS at a later date. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 p.m. Sunday until time of service.
