Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11am at Good Hope Chapel in Lafayette, LA for Mrs. Thelma Noel Wiltz, age 82, who passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Agnes Nursing Home in Breaux Bridge, LA.

Thelma Lucy Noel was born to Celica Jean-Louis Noel and Weston Noel on December 13, 1931 in Breaux Bridge. She attended St. Francis of Assisi in Breaux Bridge, St. Mary Academy in New Orleans, and graduated from Paul Breaux High School of Lafayette. She then moved to Chicago, IL before returning to settle down in Breaux Bridge.

Thelma retired from Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette after more than 20 years of service as a Nurse's Aide. She was a devoted caretaker to her mother, Celica, and sister, Isabelle, for many years. She also took an active role in the upbringing of her nieces and nephews. After her retirement, she was fortunate enough to travel to many destinations around the US with her husband, Emmett.

Thelma is survived by her sister, Helen R. Ford of Chicago, IL, brother-in-law, John H. Constantine, Sr., brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wallace and Enola Wiltz, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Joseph, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Willis and Annie Babin, a God-son, John H. Constantine, Jr., and a special niece, Leah C. Constantine. She leaves behind six nieces, two nephews, five step-daughters, three step-sons, and a host of grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Joseph Wiltz, Sr., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Weston and Celica Noel, sisters, Gloria Constantine and Isabel Noel, brother-in-law, Edward Ford, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be conducted by Fr. Robert Seay, OFM. Kinchen Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
