CROWLEY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Virginia Grado DiGeorge, 85, who died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Crowley American Legion Hospital. Fr. Mark Miley will celebrate the Mass and the Committal Services at the Woodlawn Mausoleum. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family request that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Mrs. Virginia was born January 25, 1928 in Lafayette to the late Joseph and Virginia Campo Grado. She married Mr. Paul DiGeorge, Sr. in 1951 and lived in Crowley. She was a longtime faithful member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the St. Ann's Adoration Chapel. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and fell in love with Crowley upon her moving after her marriage to Mr. Paul DiGeorge, Sr. She is survived by her son Paul DiGeorge, Jr. of Overland Park, KS and two nephews Francis Grado of Crowley and Michael Grado of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul DiGeorge, Sr.; brother Leonard Grado; an infant brother Joseph Grado, Jr. and her cousin and best friend Rita Pizzolatto Nicholson. Pallbearers will be Francis Grado, Kevin Grado, Michael Grado, William Nicholson, Paul Hormell, and Tim Gossen.
