Wayne was born on April 16, 1947 in Youngsville and was "Born Again" March 1980. He lived his early childhood in Youngsville. Wayne attended Youngsville High School, graduating in 1965, then Louisiana State University
graduating in 1970 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. After spending two years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, he returned to Tenneco Oil Company in Houston, Texas. He concluded his forty years of work in the oil field with Frank's Casing Crew in Lafayette. He was a wonderful family man, a very kind and gentle person and will be sincerely missed by family and friends.
Two other favorite scriptures of Wayne are "There is a way which seems right unto man, but its end is death" Proverbs 14:12. "All our good works are as filthy rags before the Lord" Isaiah 64:6. These two scriptures helped keep Wayne on the "straight and narrow" during his walk with his Lord Jesus the last thirty plus years.
