Funeral Services will be held at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at St. Leo the Great Church for C. J. "C.B." Baldridge, 75, who passed away on August 2, 2010 at 11:15 am at his residence.
Very Reveverend Robie Robichaux, Pastor of St. Leo the Great Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Bellview Cemetery.
Mr. Baldridge, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Clarence Baldridge, Sr. of Whiteville, Louisiana and the former Lilly Mae Martin of Carencro, Louisiana. He retired from Shell Oil Company as a Offshore Field Foreman after 32 1/2 years of service. He was a past member of the See Saw Square Dance Club, the Acadiana Swingers and the Civitan Club International. He coach at Sacred Heart of Morgan City (Central Catholic High School) for 2 years. Carol was a member of the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Duplechain Baldridge of Lafayette; three daughters, Debra B. Billeaud and husband Mark of Lafayette, Janice Chiasson and husband Scott of Port Allen, and Catherine Venable and husband Richard of Carencro; two sons, Michael Baldridge of Lafayette, and Keith Baldridge and wife Kim of Allen, TX; four step children, Elizabeth Soileau and husband Scott of Opelousas, Michelle Marshall of Lafayette, Jerry Deville of Lawtell, and Michael Deville and wife Nicole of Opelousas; 7 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Collette Baldridge of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Grace Veillon Baldridge and one brother, Clarence Baldridge, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 am until service time. A scripture service will be held at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Billeaud, Joel Billeaud, Jason Chiasson, Nicholas Venable, Henry Nguyen, Scott Chiasson, and Mark Billeaud.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Hospice of Acadiana, especially Rose and Joe, for their tender and loving care of Mr. Carol during his time of need.
