Ashley Gatica

SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at a 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Ashley Nicole Magdalene Gatica, 23, who died on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Maison de Lafayette.

Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Scott.

Reverend Mario Romero, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Yolanda and David Savini, and Gloria Croy. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing "Ave Maria", "Amazing Grace", "On Eagles' Wings", and "I Can Only Imagine" for the services.

Survivors include her two sons, Sean Nathaniel Ballard and Gabriel Isaac Ballard of Lafayette; one sister, Jessica R. Gatica of New Iberia; one brother, Alberto Gatica of Lafayette; two uncles, Joe Ronquillo of Lafayette and Oscar Ronquillo of Lafayette; four aunts, Linda Lopez of Arizona, Yolanda Savini of San Angelo, Texas, Guadalupe Rodriquez of San Angelo, Texas, and Gloria Croy of Huntsville, Alabama; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Irma Ronquillo Gatica; her grandparents Antonio A. Ronquillo and Juanita A. Ronquillo; her cousins, Daniel Rodriquez II, Daniel Rodriquez III, Jessie A. Rodriguez and Carly Elena Hansen; and her uncle, Antonio Ronquillo II.

Born in Huntsville, Alabama and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Ashley M. Gatica was a loving mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Ashley will always be remembered for her love of her family. Her motto in life was "Family Over Everything" and her favorite quote was "Oh Lord Jesus, I Love You".

Pallbearers will be members of Ashley's family.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 8:30 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 10:00 AM by Deacon Art Bakeler, Jr. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
