Dana Lynne Landry Massey

SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, for Dana Lynne Landry Massey, 32, who died on Friday, March 30, 2012 .

Inurnment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Reverend F. Hampton Davis, III Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Concelebrant will be Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley. Giftbearers will be Maria Delacroix and Ray Meche. Lectors will be Sarah Manuel and Kent Landry. Karen Melancon, organist and soloist, will sing for the services.

Survivors include her daughters, Madison Therese Massey of Scott and her older sister; her mother, Becca Begnaud of Scott; her father, Terry Neal Landry and her step mother, Penny Ashford of Central City; one sister, Marie Landry of Lafayette; two brothers, Drew Landry of Scott and Chase Landry of Denham Springs; and her paternal grandparents, Francis and Billie Landry; and Madison's father, Gavin Massey of Mandeville.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marie Therese and Mayo Horace Begnaud; and one brother, Blaine Michael Landry.

A loving and dedicated mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, Dana set out on a mission early in life to reach people in ways that most could not comprehend. A dedicated soldier of God whose faith and strong will overflowed from her own being making it impossible for those around her to not experience the power and the vision she had to share. Renaissance woman: Dana was a mother, an engineer, a fighter, a farmer, an adventurer, a coach, a visionary, a believer, and a pioneer. She shared her wisdom and her love with anyone who was blessed with the opportunity to be near her. Dana, this beautiful child of God, was dedicated to faith in God's plan and was a noble servant during her time on this earth. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force and proudly served her country in Qatar during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pallbearers will be Louis Michot, Eddie Meche, Ray Meche, Don Meche, Kent Landry, Dean Landry, Chase Landry, Ethan Wagner, and Adam York

A Rosary will be recited by Reverend Gary Schexnayder at 7:30 PM in Martin & Castille's SCOTT Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
