Devin Bearb Obituary
SCOTT - Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Carencro for Devin Paul Bearb, age 44, who passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at LSU HSC University Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette.
Mr. Bearb was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Denver, CO for the past five years. He was self-employed as a computer graphic artist for the past fifteen years. He was a 1986 graduate of Acadiana High School and he was also a graduate of USL with a degree in Psychology.
Survivors include his parents, Ferdie Pierre Bearb and the former Anna Lou Guillot.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Louis Bearb and the former Rose Guilbeau; and his maternal grandparents, Joseph Guillot and the former Nora Hebert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until service time on Wednesday.

Devin and I went to Acadiana High School together and formed an awesome friendship over music and art. We worked together at Longnecker's of Lafayette in 1985/1986 and spent a lot of days laughing a life. We also grabbed a gallon of Jet Fuel and drove to Baton Rouge to see Sting's Dream of the Blue Turtle's tour. Devin was a stand up guy. A talented artist. A dear friend that is thought of to this day. Godspeed, Devin.

Devin and I had known each other since 1995 and had become very close friends while he lived here in L.A. and the news of his death is truly bizarre and incredibly hard to get my head around. He was an amazing man that gave so much to all of his friends and family, it saddens me deeply that he left us so very young. I will remember him always! You will be missed my brother!!!

Devin touched my heart in such a special way. He was more then a boyfriend he was an amazing friend.I had some of the best times of my life with him. It was always an adventure. I am so glad I will always have all the memories of him. He was so creative and life was never dull with him around. I am at such a loss. Mr. & Mrs Bearb you are in my our heart, you raised an amazing person. Please take comfort in knowing that he was loved by many.
