Donald Joseph Paul, Sr. "Bo Dollar"

ARNAUDVILLE/ORANGE, TX - Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church for Donald Joseph Paul, Sr. "Bo Dollar" age 73, who passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 12:05 a.m. at his residence in Arnaudville.

Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. The Rev. James Lambert, SJ, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Paul was a native of Orange, TX and a resident of Arnaudville for the past thirteen years. He retired from Marathon Oil and J.H. Walker Companies. Mr. Paul was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Arnaudville and was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver. He was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Army as a Medic from 1960-1965.

Survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Shirley Strauss Paul, of Arnaudville; one son, Donald Paul, Jr. of Orange, TX; one step-son, Joseph C. Rivette, Jr. and his companion, Paris August, of Lafayette; one daughter, Donna Lynn Paul Reed and her husband, James, of Houston, TX; one step-daughter, Michelle Solomon and her husband, Joseph, of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Whitney Jennings and Aliyah Paul; one great grandchild, Aderyn Dyce Stephens; five step grandchildren, Jala Solomon, Jalea Solomon, Zontrel Rivette, Bachari Carter and Jalana Solomon; one brother, Wickliff Paul, Jr. and his wife, Mildred, of Orange, TX; one sister, Constance Ann Jones and her husband, William, of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wickliff S. Paul, Sr. and the former, Jennie V. Tabor; and three sisters, Katherine Ryane, Albertha Lee and Josephine P. Abraham.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
