San Antonio, TX - Mrs. Mary Mims Clark, age 83 of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Born Friday, September 15, 1933 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Purla Eva Sanders Harper; husband of 55 years, Melvin J. Clark; sisters, I. V. Harper McClaskey and Mae Ople Harper Couvillion; and brother, C. D. Harper.

Mrs. Clark and her husband Melvin were very active members of First Baptist Church of Lafayette, LA for many years. Melvin and Mary followed the board runs and derrick lights from S.E. Texas, Louisiana, and South Mississippi while Melvin worked for Sid Richurson and Perry Bass Drilling and Justiss and Mears Drilling, as well as years in oilfield service industry for SWACO and later Dresser Industries.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Mary "Kae" Clark Procell and husband Rolan "Butch"; granddaughters, Miriam Kay Procell Glasgow and Sarah Elizabeth Procell; great grandsons, Gavin Glasgow, Anthony Procell, and Isaac Procell Guerrero; sister, Sue Harper Wilson; brother, A. C. Harper; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family received friends on Monday, January 2, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church, from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dick DeBusk officiating. Interment will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Ball, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
