LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, in the Walters Funeral Home Sunrise Chapel, for Patrick Thibodeaux, 63, who passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Pastor Francis Martin, of Family Life Church, will officiate the ceremony.
Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the services.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Beverly Lantier Thibodeaux of Lafayette; two daughters, Allison Thibodeaux of Duson, and Lisa Martin and her husband William of The Woodlands, TX; four sisters, Patsy Baker of Crowley, Eva Rose Gary of Duson, Eve Miller of Mire, and Rita Prejean of Church Point; one brother, Joe Thibodeaux and his wife Jeanette of Mire; four grandchildren, John Paul Martin, April Fairbanks, Tiffeny Himel, and Catelynn Lee; and one great-grandson, Gage Himel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Edgar Thibodeaux; his first wife, Felicia Thibodeaux; one daughter, Jenny Thibodeaux, two brothers, Adam Thibodeaux and Leroy Thibodeaux; and three sisters, Jane Lantier, Sadie Savoy, and Delphina Leger.
Patrick's passion in life was Cajun music. In his free time, he performed in two bands. "Pat Thibodeaux and The Cajun Stompers," and "Rachel Wilson and The Cajun Express."
Pallbearers will be Fred Prejean, Bill Martin, Elmo Gary, Johnny Sonnier, Glenn Prejean, and Danny Ewing. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Meche, Joe Thibodeaux, John Paul Martin, and Wayne Wilson.
Visitation hours will be observed on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm; and on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 8:00 am until time of service.
