CHURCH POINT - Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, November 16, 2012 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, La. for Paulette Angela Thibodeaux, 45. Ms. Thibodeaux, a native and long-time resident of Eunice, La., died at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, November 13. Father Tom Voorhies will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edward Cemetery adjacent to the church.
The funeral procession will leave the funeral home for the church at 11:00 A.M.
Survivors include her uncle, Father Paul Thibodeaux of Church Point, La.; an uncle and aunt, Lionel and Jean Cormier of Cankton, La.; an aunt, Evangeline Thibodeaux of Richard and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Maudry (Cormier) Thibodeaux; maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Odile (Richard) Cormier and paternal grandparents, Laurent and Emerline Thibodeaux.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 15 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
Pallbearers will be will be Andrew and Glen Thibodeaux, Jude and John Wimberley, Dwayne Cormier, Tyson Demahy, Eric Fontenot and Luke Johnson.
After completing a course of study with the "Marianites de Ste. Croix" (Marianites of Holy Cross) in New Orleans, Ms. Thibodeaux taught at Richard Elementary and Evangeline Elementary. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court in Eunice, La., the "Come Lord Jesus" and "Circle of Friends" groups in Lafayette, La. and loved sports, especially ULL softball.
