LAFAYETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 10:00 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Mr. Pierre Berton "Bert" Bearb, who passed away Monday, November 18, 2013, at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor, in Lafayette.|
Father Chester Arceneaux, of St. John's Cathedral, in Lafayette will officiate.
Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.
Mr. Bearb was born June 17, 1940 in Church Point, LA and was a resident of Lafayette. Bert worked hard as a manager in the Grocery Business in Church Point and Lafayette and retired after many years of service.
Bert loved Acadiana and was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and hunting and loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Bearb is survived by his son Bryan J. Bearb and his wife Ashley; two daughters, Michellae' Comeaux and her husband David and Dana Miller and her husband Mark; three grandchildren, Michael Comeaux, Riley and Ashton Miller; and his brother Ferdie Bearb, all of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Bearb and the former Rose Guilbeaux, of Church Point, LA; one brother, Paul L. Bearb; and one sister-in-law, Anna Bearb.
The family requests that visiting hours at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home be observed from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 and continue at 8:00 am Wednesday, November 20, 2013 until time of services.
Pallbearers will be Bryan J. Bearb, David C. Comeaux, Harold J. Romero, Kent J. Romero, Roger "Rocky" Bernard Jr., and Ronald D. Wilson.
