Renée LeBlanc Mallette

LAFAYETTE - A memorial service will be held on March 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Bible Church, Lafayette for Renée Mallette, 54, who passed away on March 1, 2013 at home in Lafayette after a lengthy illness. Survivors include her husband Vincent Mallette; two daughters, Arianna and Olivia Mallette, two step children, Cody Mallette and Jennifer Mallette Bankston. She is also survived by her mother, Margie Landry LeBlanc and her sisters, Mary LeBlanc, Ann LeBlanc Billeaud, Elaine LeBlanc Morrow, Lelia LeBlanc Allan, and Yvonne LeBlanc as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, George Joseph LeBlanc.

Renée graduated from Lafayette High, ULL, and earned a graduate degree in Social Work from LSU. She worked as a social worker for Lourdes Hospital and then as a private counselor in Lafayette. She was dedicated to helping people with their relationships, depression, and trauma recovery. She also enjoyed leading her daughters Girl Scout Troup. Every year she looked forward to being a counselor at Camp Blue Bird for cancer patients. She went on several mission trips to Guatemala to minister to the Indians. She enjoyed worshiping and learning with others at Trinity Bible Church. Her last endeavor was counseling with hospice out of New Iberia. Memorial contributions may be made to, for Arianna Mallette's (ID2685225) upcoming mission to Nepal.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Trinity Bible Church, 130 E Broussard Rd, Lafayette, LA 70503 on March 3 from 1:00 PM until the memorial service.
