ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Wilma Ann Quebedeaux, age 71, the former Wilma Ann Doucet, who passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 3:29 a.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Gary Shexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Quebedeaux was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville.
Survivors include three sons, Errol Quebedeaux of Arnaudville, Jody Quebedeaux of Opelousas, and Mark Quebedeaux of Vinton; one daughter-in-law, Marlene Quebedeaux of Sunset; five grandchildren, Jordan Seth Quebedeaux, Sheree Brook Quebedeaux, McKinzie Faith Quebedeaux, Mattie Alayse Quebedeaux and Joshua Chase Quebedeaux; one step-granddaughter, Ashley Arabie Gould and her husband, Darrell; two great grandchildren, Maddox Luke Quebedeaux and Kylie Quebedeaux; three sisters, Dula D. Guidry of Cecilia, Shirley D. LaGrange and her husband, Willie Roy, of Arnaudville and Betty June D. Noel and her husband, Milburn. of Arnaudville; two brothers, Gary Doucet and his wife, Pamela, and Anthony Doucet and his wife, Garnett, all of Arnaudville; and one sister-in-law, Viola Doucet of Leonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, Johnny Quebedeaux; one son, Wendell James Quebedeaux; her parents, Jessie Doucet and the former Beulah Bertinot; and two brothers, Rodney Doucet and Tilben Doucet.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
