LAFAYETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Rose Glorioso Druilhet, 97, who passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 12: 45 am at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Pastor of The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.

Rose, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Antonio Glorioso and the former Josephine Marsiglia. Born and raised in Lafayette, Rose devoted her life to her family; first, by helping her mother and father with their grocery store on the corner of Lee and Vermilion, and later with her husband, Cliff, caring for them throughout their lives. She raised two children while working as a PBX operator for South Central Bell, Lafayette City Hall, and Lafayette General Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and selflessly placed others needs before her own. Known for her great Italian cooking, she was always eager to share her recipes and packed many take home plates from holiday dinners. Her flower garden was a point of pride and she created a backyard habitat for wild birds by providing plentiful food and water every day. Rose was outspoken, charming, and lived a remarkably independent life.

She is survived by her daughter, Antonia D. White and fiancee' James Adams; her son, Robert E. Druilhet and wife Phyllis; her grandchildren, Alan White and wife Andre' and David White; her step grandchildren, Jonathan Garza, Julianne DeSoto, Jessica McGarr and Jillian Garza; her great grandchildren, Jonathan DeSoto, Madeline DeSoto, Kenneth DeSoto, Elodie McGarr and Kathryn McGarr; her sister-in-law, Eula Glorioso.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of thirty one years Clifford S. Druilhet, and her brother, Samuel Glorioso.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
