LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at a 2:00 PM Catholic Mass in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Dolores Ann Vice Gueno, 83, who died on Monday, April 7, 2014 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.

Reverend Father Millard Boyer will officiate the funeral mass. Musical selections will be, "Just A Closer Walk With Thee," "Amazing Grace," and "Wind Beneath My Wings."

She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Myrna "Bobbie" Miglionico; three grandchildren, Tara Fogleman, Richard Cormier III, and Whitnie LeBlanc and her husband, Ryan; seven great grandchildren, Sierra Lindon, Will Lindon III, Mariah Armstead, Olivia Armstead, Sophia Armstead, Caden LeBlanc and Caij LeBlanc; and four great great grandchildren, Mayloni, Sienna, Rylie and Kylie Lindon.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Elias; her parents, Pierre Hazar and Lelia Lopez Vice; one brother, Curtis Vice; two sisters, Lilly Benoit and Bernice Burkett; one grandson, Michael "CoCo" Cormier; her former husband, Jack Gueno; and her grandparents, Joseph Lopez, Felicia Picard, Sarah O'Toole and Joseph Vice.

Dolores Ann Vice Gueno was born on December 10, 1930 in Lafayette, Louisiana. She worked as a switchboard operator for many years at local hospitals, including Lafayette Charity Hospital for 35 years and Lafayette General Medical Center for over 30 years before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Richard Cormier II, Ryan LeBlanc, Louis Elias, David Vice, Mariah Armstead and Norbert Boudreaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Cormier Sr., Obey LeBlanc Sr., Dr. Juan Perez-Ruiz, Dr. Maximo Lamarche, and Dr. John Rainey.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heart of Hospice and Nursing Specialties. They would like to thank Tosya Henry for her dedication and compassion.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location on Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services.
