CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro for Herman "Min" Carmouche, age 77, who passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at his residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev.

Peter Emusa, pastor of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Carmouche was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He retired in 1994, as head custodian at J.W. Faulk Elementary with over twenty-five years of service. Mr. Carmouche was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro.

Survivors include three daughters, Amanda Carmouche and her fiancé, Ivory Thomas, Carmeline Woods, all of Carencro and Doris Broussard of Lafayette; his son Herman Woods of Carencro; one granddaughter, Maranda Carmouche; two great grandchildren, I'reial Carmouche and A'aralya Carmouche; three sisters, Linda Cormier, Shirley Ruffin, both of Carencro and Audrey Sampy and her husband, John, of Houston, TX; and his special friend, Nellie Angelle of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-three years, the former Geraldine Savoy; his parents, Curley Carmouche and the former, Indiana Arceneaux, both natives of Carencro; one brother, Curtis Carmouche; and one sister, Wanda Bernard.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be John Sampy, Jr., Sean Ruffin, Jason Carmouche, Joseph Clement Carmouche, Ivory Dadarius Thomas and David James Metz. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Carmouche and Joshua Ruffin.
