SCOTT - Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Scott for Theresa R. Thibodeaux, age 81, the former Theresa Romero, who passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at 12:07 p.m. at her residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery in Scott. The Rev. Andre Metrejean, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Scott, will officiate at the services. Readers will be Stephanie Choplin and Amanda Munoz. Giftbearers will be Donna Daigle and Wanda Dufour. Eulogist will be Stephanie Choplin.

Mrs. Thibodeaux was a native and resident of Lafayette. She was a parishioner at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott. She will be dearly missed by her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony Lee Thibodeaux of Cankton and Sherman Dale Thibodeaux and his wife, Cleda, of Youngsville; four daughters, Glenda Broussard and her husband, Harry, of Lacassine, Darlene Roger and her husband, Ronald, of Scott, Catherine Thibodeaux and her husband, Keith, of Duson and Donna Daigle and her husband, Harold, of Lafayette; fifteen grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Dufour and her husband, Barry, of Carencro; one sister-in-law, Mary Thibodeaux of Sunset; one niece; and one great niece.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Hervin Thibodeaux; and her parents, Leo Romero and the former, Henrietta Ashy.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Wednesday and will continue from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Michael Daigle, Scotty Daigle, Barry Dufour, Brady Roger, Louis Fruge and Hervin Fruge. Honorary pallbearer will be Dylan Daigle.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heart of Hospice for their wonderful care.
