Funeral services for Morris "Black" Senegal, age 76, who died Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Summer Wood Nursing Home, will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Cunningham C.M.E. Church in Rayne. Rev. E.I. Sullivan, Sr., will officiate the service. He will be buried in Kemball Cemetery in Ridge, La.

Mr. Senegal is survived by his sons, Percy Senegal (Pam), of Rayne, Jeffery Evans (Mary Alice), of Rayne, Shane Guidry, of Beaumont, Texas, and Keith Nickerson, of Palo Alto, Calif.; his daughters, Debra Prudhomme (Carl), of Crowley, Toni Senegal, Lera Francis (Donald, Florence Bodlen (Lionel), Mona Senegal, Gaye Evans, Gilda Senegal (Timothy), all of Rayne, Myra Sweet (Darrell), of Deridder, Danielle Lofton, and Charlotte Senegal, both of Houston; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by one son, Alvin Nickerson; two brothers; one sister; as well as his parents, Adam and Mathilda Viltz Senegal.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of services at Cunningham C.M.E. Church, 300 W. Harrop St in Rayne.
Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc., 1011 N. St. Antoine St., Lafayette, is in charge of arrangements.
