Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Judy Gail Prejean, 67, who passed away on October 5, 2010 at 12:39 am at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Reverend C. Ann Sutton, Pastor of Northwood United Methodist Church, will conduct the funeral services assisted by Reverend Weldon C. Bares and Reverend Kenneth Domingue.

Mrs. Prejean, a lifetime resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, was the daughter of the late Wilton Langlinais of Youngsville, and the former Shirley Donnley of Lafayette. She was a lifetime member of the Boy Scout Troop Committee, a past member of Northwood United Methodist Board of Trustees, a board member of the UKC American Eskimo Dog Association and vice-president of Fire House, Inc. She was a member of the Krewe of Xanadu, serving as royalty muse Terpsichore in 1996. She served on the Krewe of Triton's Ladies' Committee for seven years. She also served on the Rainbow Board in Masonic Temple Hope Lodge.

She is survived by her husband, L. Wayne Prejean of Lafayette; one daughter, Shawnee Prejean-Romero and husband, Shannon, of Carencro; one son, Dwayne Andrew Prejean and wife, Allyson, of Lafayette; nine grandchildren, Jason Prejean, Jina Wiltz, Andrew Prejean, Christian Prejean, Zachary Edwards, Madeline Edwards, Annabelle Edwards, Lillian Edwards, and Morgan Romero; two great grandchildren, Gabriel and and Emilee Prejean; one sister, Joycelyn Langlinais Alpha of Houston,Texas; and, one brother, Donald Langlinais and wife, Liz, of Youngsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Prejean, Donald Bock, Glynn Marcel, Shannon Romero, Ricky Smith, and Floyd Wiltz. Honorary pallbearers are BSA Troop 19, the Krewe of Triton, the Beaver's Club of Lafayette, and Northwood Men's Association.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Prejean's name to St. Labre Indian School, Post Office Box 216, Ashland, Montana 59003-9989.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Alex, Terry, Kara, Leah, Kira, Joe, Julie, Leigh Ann, Jonathon, Beth, Tim, Madelyn, Janice, Joelle, Brena, Trevor, Melanie and Marti of the 6th floor Roundhouse ICU at Lafayette General Medical Center.
