As a Tulane T-Clubmate of Dave's we suffered through many disappointing Tulane Football seasons without giving up. I never met any of his family but I must offer sincere sympathy on his passing at 90--I'm 92!
He was a real good guy!

My condolenses and heartfelt concerns go out to you and your family. Although i never met him, nor shared memories of him, i've heard you speak very highly of him . Remember, its not the beginning year or ending year that determines a mans worth., it's what was accomplished during the dash in the middle. Judging by his family, more was accomplished during this period than we'll fathom or realize. Once again , my heartfelt condolenses go out to your family .
His many trips around the sun will never be forgotton, nor will your memories of his life diminish..sincerely, Mike"Gorilla"Goebel. Lafayette, la.
