Lula Mae Guillory

MALLET - Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet for Lula Mae Guillory, age 62, who passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Mallet. The Rev. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet, will officiate at the services.

Ms. Guillory was a native of Church Point and a resident of Lafayette. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet. Ms. Guillory retired as a schoolteacher with the Lafayette Parish School System.

Survivors include two brothers, John Raphael Guillory and his wife, Sandra, of New Orleans and Regius Guillory and his wife, Sheila, of Orange, TX; four sisters, Mary Reed of Opelousas, Gracie Guillory of Church Point, Barbara Citizen of Carencro and Helen Destouet and her husband, Steven, of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Guillory and Sylvania Papillion Guillory, both natives of Church Point; and three brothers-in-law, Walter Reed, Dr. Carroll Guillory and Lionel Citizen.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet until service time in St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ms. Lula's name to the Carmelite Monastery of Lafayette, 1250 Carmel Drive, Lafayette, LA 70501, (337) 232-4651.
