Lafayette, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in honor of Mildred Dugas, 79, who passed away on March 29, 2013 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Welsh, LA. She will be interred in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro, LA. Fr. Hampton Davis will officiate the service.
Mildred Broussard Dugas was born July 17, 1933 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Broussard. Mildred B. Dugas was a retired employee of UL of Lafayette after 17 years and also work for Dr. Beverly Davis for over 30 years and the Prathers for over 20 years.
She resided in Lafayette, LA until she took ill. She leaves to mourn; two sons, Joseph (Ethel) Dugas, Willie (Janice) Dugas and three daughters Regina Gallien, Helen (Wilfred) Pellerin and Ethel (Patrick) Brown all of Lafayette. She also had 28 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years and her parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Broussard, four sisters and four brothers and a host of nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 7:00-10:30 AM, Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Kinchen Funeral Home.
