Clovis Alexander

BREAUX BRIDGE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Clovis Alexander. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Clovis Alexander was born on March 1, 1950 to the late Andrew Alexander, Sr. and the late Elsie Mouton Alexander. On the morning of May 14, 2013 he went home to God. He was married to Drbra Stokes on February 8, 1983. He retired from his dry cleaning business and later went back to work as a school crossing guard for HISD.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Alexander; his sons, Donnaver Alexander (Felcicer), Clovis Alexander Jr. (Nesia), David Allen (Donnetrelle) and his stepson, Derrick Thomas; his daughters, Niesha Alexander-Lofton (Channon), Valerie Williams (Thomas) and his stepdaughter, LiKeythia Polk (Michael); his brother, James Alexander; his two sisters, Margie Clement (Freddie) and Marie Alexander (Clarence)) and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Alexander, Sr.; his brothers, Adam Batiste, Johnny Alexander and Andrew Alexander, Jr.; his sister, Eunice Davis and his sister-in-law, Janie Alexander.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service.
