Stanley Edward Schenck

SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at a 12:00 PM Baptist Service at Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott, for Stanley Schenck, 86, who died on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Hebrew Rest Cemetery in Lafayette.

Reverend Doctor Steve Horn, Pastor of, First Baptist Church of Lafayette, Louisiana will conduct the services.

Survivors include his two sons, Scott Schenck and his wife Rhonda, and Rick Schenck and his wife LuAnne; and three grandchildren, Lindsey Schenck, R.J. Schenck, and Courtney Schenck.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Gloria Schenck; and his parents, Larry and Bertha Schenck.

Stan spent most of his life in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Oregon State University then started working in the toy manufacturing industry. After working over 30 years in the toy business, he retired to Lafayette, Louisiana in 1991. Stan enjoyed attending festivals, loved animals, and he loved his life in Louisiana. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Stanley Edward Schenck was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 8:30 AM until time of service.
