Leroy Joseph Hebert

SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Leroy Joseph Hebert, age 73, who died on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his residence in Scott surrounded by his family.

Entombment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum.

Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Luke Fremin will serve as giftbearer. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace," "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," "Wind Beneath My Wings," and "Peace In The Valley."

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 53 years, Helen Broussard Hebert; two daughters, Sherry Lynn Fremin and her husband, Andy and Joy Ann Hebert and her fiancé, Steven Leger; one son, Gregory Paul Hebert; six grandchildren, Gregory Arsement, II, Bryant Clark, Luke Fremin, Ross Hebert, Collin Hebert and Korey Hebert; two great grandchildren, Myka Hebert and Evan Clark; one sister, Patsy Robin; and one brother, Harold Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lauris "Bee" Hebert and Rena Richard Hebert; and his son, Kendall Lee Hebert.

Leroy Joseph Hebert was born on April 24, 1940 in Scott, Louisiana and remained there throughout his life. Mr. Hebert was a member of the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of the VFW in Judice and also a member the of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Community in Scott. Mr. Hebert enjoyed woodworking and worked as an upholsterer in his shop for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Ross Hebert, Gregory Arsement II, Korey Hebert, Bryant Clark, Kevin Robin and Kenneth Vice. Honorary pallbearers will be Collin Hebert and Luke Fremin.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's SCOTT Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
